My
name is Niklas Enander and I am the author of this tuning manual
for Saab´s two stroke cars.
I have been a tuner of two strokes ever since my first moped at
the age of eleven. I am presently working as a specialist in two-stroke
simulation at Husqvarna Engine Research after a few years working
on engine development at Volvo Cars and Volvo Trucks.
Besides my many years of experience with two-strokes in my own and
friends mopeds, scooters and Saabs, I have studied to become a master
of science in mechanical engineering with a major in vehicles and
engine design.
Presently I own about ten strokers including my first moped, an
office chair with a 100cc engine that does over 85 km/n on nitrous,
my Vespa drag racer, that is probably the quickest Vespa in Europe,
and my SAABs.
The Saabs that I play around with is a red shortnose from 64 and
a black 93 from 1959 that is presently being rebuilt for historical
racing. I am also presently involved in some more projects that
I am not at liberty to disclose at this time.
My personal reason to spend weeks of work to write a manual like
this is to spread the knowledge of how to tune your Saab and having
the pleasure to let more people hear the sound of a Saab that clearly
revs all the way out to the horizon.
