Complete set of three 71,0 mm XP forged tuning pistons - Generation 3. The Generation 3 pistons is forged by Wössner in a high silicone alloy to reduce the termal expansion so that a smaller piston play can be used making the engine less noisy when cold. The generation 3 pistons is also about 10g ligher than the gen 2 pistons. As the recommended piston play is 13/100 of a mm these pistons can often be used in blockes that are already bored to 71.0 mm as the bores must be honed out 3/100 mm and then often will be cleared out. 3 mm lower from center piston pin to piston top. This gives an built in exhaust and transfer ports increase by 3 mm and you lower the bottom of the ports reducing the risk of grinding into the cooling galeries. Approved for Vintage Racing.
